What Readers say about Lucille
· Your book, Lucille Nadine Alexander's Birthday, was read at our annual shelter Christmas party this year. It was definitely a smash with the children and the adults. The children were able to relate and laughed and listened and learned. The adults listened tentatively and smiled with approval. Thank you for writing such a book. You have put smiles on children's faces that you have never seen. You have touched their lives with the birth of Christ in a manner that they will always remember - because it was explained in their language. I pray that your book will reach many, many other children as well. Atlanta, Georgia
“Just received copies of Lucille Nadine from Amazon.com and I love it. Can we arrange to get your autograph on them so I can mail them next week?” Oakland, Ca.
“I am so proud to know you, your work is remarkable!!” Sunnyvale, Ca.
"It doesn't matter if you are a teacher, preacher, minister, parent or child, I encourage you to order these books and the DVD. It will make teaching so much easier and leave your children with a better understanding about Jesus' birth and salvation. I could say so much more about these books but I want you to buy them for yourself. Believe me this is what we as teachers need to help that babe in Christ understand the Word of God." Minister Sheree Carradine, Chief Editor, Sarah Magazine, Tucson, Arizona
“A wonderful children’s book” Rialto, California
“Thank you again for sharing your divine gifts, and talents with all of us” Hayward, Ca.
“Hello Teirrah, your book is scheduled to be listed in Local Literati on Dec. 20. Visit www.insidebayarea.com and go to Bay Area Living. Thank you.” Bay Area News Group
“Praise the Lord. We are told to "write the vision" and I am soooo happy that you have chosen to share with us what He's given to you. I have loved your children’s books and have sent them to family in Botswana.” Oakland, Ca.
Dear Book Lovers,
There’s a picture book I have to tell you about. Lucille Nadine Alexander’s Birthday by Teirrah McNair is a gem.
Seven-year-old Lucille is having a birthday. And while she pulls no punches about how excited she is about it being her day, she also wants you to know that it is someone else’s birthday. It’s Jesus’ birthday. Lucille wonders aloud whether we shouldn’t give Jesus something for Christmas. With a child’s directness she tells us what he wants—us. She gives specific kid-relatable examples showing how he has helped her since she asked him to come into her heart. Then using figures from a nativity, she tells the Christmas story.
“Lucille’s telling captures the wonder and excitement of a God-event and having her talk first about how Jesus helps us live our lives now, helps the child-listener see “why” we celebrate this holiday and “why” we tell this story.
The black-and-white cartoon-like illustrations are energetic and humorous. “
